High School: Graduated in 2005 from Monte Vista High School, where he competed in cross country as well as playing four positions on the gridiron... Was an all-academic team selection by the San Diego Union Tribune.

Personal: Is one of five children of Ophelia Steppe and Rickey Spencer... Born in San Diego... Pursuing a degree in psychology.
