2004-05: Division I Independent All-Newcomer team selection and runner-up (to IPFW's Peter Campbell) for Newcomer of the Year ... played in 28 of 29 games, starting four times as a true freshman ... led the team in three-point percentage (44-99 - 44.4%), was second in steals (27) and third in scoring (9.1/game) and total three-pointers made (44) ... led the team with 16 multi-trifecta games, including 10 in his last 15 games overall, and hit a three-pointer in 20 of 28 total games ... had a stretch early in the season where he hit at least two three-pointers in five straight games and a stretch at the end of the season where he hit two or more three-pointers in seven of eight contests ... named Division I Independent Player of the Week on Feb. 22 after scoring a career-high 25 points and hitting on 7-10 three-pointers (one off the school record) in a 110-67 victory over CU-Colorado Springs; in that game hit on 8-12 shots overall, had two assists and three steals in 29 minutes off the bench ... named Division I Independent Newcomer of the Week on Jan. 11 after averaging 13.0 points, 4.0 rebounds/game and hitting 64.3 percent (9-14) of his field goal attempts and 62.5 percent (5-8) of this three-point attempts in games against Texas Tech and Texas-Pan American ... against Texas Tech (Jan. 4), on his 20th birthday, hit on 6-10 shots and 3-6 three-pointers, while grabbing five rebounds and scoring a then career-high 18 points against the Red Raiders ... started collegiate career in style by hitting on 6-9 shots and scoring 16 points while grabbing a season-high seven rebounds against No. 6 Syracuse (No. 11) in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic ... the next night against NCAA Tournament participant Bucknell (Nov. 12), also scored 16 points by hitting 6-11 from the field and 2-3 from three-point range ... hit on 4-9 three-pointers and scored 18 points against New Mexico (Dec. 9) at The Pit ... scored 14 points and had two steals against Iowa State (Nov. 26) at the Cyclone Challenge, a game in which he earned his first collegiate start ... missed lone game of the season against Western State (Nov. 30), due to a concussion but returned to the court against Air Force (Dec. 2) and knocked down a pair of three-pointers ... averaged 13.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and hit 15-39 (38.5%) of his three-point attempts and 16-19 (84.2%) of his free throw attempts in eight games against 2005 NCAA Tournament participants ... scored 10 points, including hitting the team's only two three-pointers at No. 12 Gonzaga (Feb. 28) ... had 13 points in 20 minutes of action against Utah (Dec. 17) ... had 11 double-figure scoring games, third most on the team ... hit 9-20 (45%) from three-point range and 19-36 (52.8%) of total field goal attempts in nine games against Division I Independents ... averaged 7.7 points and hit 51.5 percent (17-33) of his three-point attempts in 11 home games during the year.
