Brian Tafel
Brian Tafel enters his second year as part of Tad
Boyle's coaching staff in the 2008-09 season.
Among his duties with the Bears are serving as
travel and video coordinator as well as helping out with practice
scheduling, summer camps and individual workouts.
He also serves as an academic advisor for the
Northern Colorado players.
Tafel came to Greeley after a successful career
playing basketball and soccer at Colorado College in Colorado
Springs. He played on the pitch for the Tigers from 2002-06 and was
a two-year team captain as well as being picked as the 2006 team
MVP and earning placement on the 2004 national All-Independent
team.
He played point guard for Colorado College coach Mike McCubbin
during the 2003-04 season and later began his trek up the coaching
ladder as an assistant coach at Fountain Valley High School in
2005-06 and later as an assistant at his alma mater Longmont High
during the 2006-07 season.
