HIGH SCHOOL (Cherry Creek): Three-year letterwinner for coach Mike Brookhart... Averaged 18 points and 12 rebounds as a senior... Was first-team all-Centennial Conference, first-team all-Colorado and first-team all-state as a senior... Was a McDonald's All-America nominee.

PERSONAL: Son of Jane and Marvin Montgomery... Is the baby of the family, with three siblings ages 25, 31, 41... Dad played professional football... Also recruited by Weber State, Portland State and Denver, among others.
