the late 1960's) ... 58.1 percent field goal percentage ranked 22nd
among Division I players and second nationally among freshmen
(trailing only Kyle Hines of UNC-Greensboro at 62.1%) ... averaged
16.3 points, 8.3 rebounds per/game and shot 57.7 percent (56-97)
from the field in nine games against Division I Independent teams
... named D-I Independent Player of the Week on Jan. 11 after
averaging 16 points and five rebounds/game and hitting 50 percent
(11-22) of his shots in games against Texas Tech and Texas-Pan

following week (Jan. 18) after averaging 24.5 points, 10.0 rebounds
and 2.5 assists/game and hitting 73.1 percent (19-26) of his shots

season), Archibeque averaged 15.8 points and 7.2 rebounds/game over
the last 19 games of the season and hit 124-202 (61.4%) of his

against Texas State (Dec. 22), as he scored a career-high 30
points, the fifth highest total by a Division I freshman this
season, in becoming the first Bear in nearly three years to score

shots and 8-13 free throws, pulled down 10 rebounds (five
offensive), dished out two assists and blocked two shots in a
career-high 46 minutes of playing time; scored 11 total points in
the overtimes of that game, including seven straight points to open
the second overtime in the Bears 86-82 victory ... also hit on
11-13 shots on his way to 28 points, the 10th highest total by a
Division I freshman this year, in 99-91 victory over Longwood (Jan.
10) ... hit on 8-13 shots, scored 21 points and pulled down a
career-high 15 rebounds in 41 minutes in an overtime loss to Utah
Valley State (Jan. 15); hit a layup with three seconds left in
regulation to force the overtime period ... scored 18 points and
grabbed 13 rebounds at Oral Roberts (Dec. 14) ... played well
against good teams and players, scoring 15 points at Oklahoma (Dec.
11) against Kevin Bookout, totaling 17 points and seven rebounds at
No. 12 Gonzaga (Feb. 28) against Ronny Turiaf, scoring 12 points at
Utah (Dec. 17) against Andrew Bogut and scoring 16 points at Texas
Tech (Jan. 4) ... scored 24 points in season finale against UC
Davis (Mar. 5) ... dished out career-high five assists while
scoring 18 points in win over CU-Colorado Springs (Feb. 14) ... had
19 double-figure scoring games, led the team in scoring seven times
and led the squad in rebounding 14 times ... UNC Male
Student-Athlete of the Month for December after averaging 12.6
points, 5.8 rebounds/game and hitting 66.7 percent (42-63) of his
shots in eight games ... averaged 15.9 points, 6.8 rebounds
per/game and hit 67 percent (73-109) from the field in 12 home
games during the year.
2003-04: Started first six games of the season
before suffering a leg injury and was forced to seek a medical
hardship ... in those first six games, averaged 9.5 points and 5.2
rebounds per contest ... notched a then career-high 13 points
against each Colorado Mines (Nov. 25) and Kendall College (Nov. 28)
... recorded a double-double against Kendall by also grabbing a
season-high 11 rebounds ... blocked two shots and grabbed seven
rebounds against Adams State (Nov. 22) ... 57.5 percent field goal
percentage led the team when he was injured.
