Former Bear Don Meyer honored with prestigious 2009 ESPY Award
Don Meyer, Northern State University's men's basketball coach and a former baseball and basketball player at Northern Colorado, was awarded the prestigious Jimmy V Perseverance Award last week during ESPN's annual ESPY Awards. The award was presented to Meyer on Wednesday, July 15, at the Nokia Theatre, and the taped show aired on ESPN on Sunday, July 19. Actor Samuel L. Jackson served as the show host.

David Arnold (Highlands Ranch) and Tate Unruh (Branson, Mo.) officially signed National Letters of Intent to play for Northern Colorado on Tuesday, April 15.
