walks, was hit by a pitch and led the team with five sacrifices
during the season... Five of his hits came during a two-day,
three-game stretch against Air Force, where he went 5-for-11 with
seven RBI and four runs scored and three of his hits were for extra
bases.
2006: Played in 34 games, starting 15...
Against Big 12 Tournament Champion Kansas (May 14), hit his first
career home run, a solo blast to right field... Against North
Dakota State in the championship game of the Division I Independent
Invitational, hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning to put
the Bears on top 6-1 as the team won its second straight
championship... D-I Independent All-Academic selection.
2005: As a true freshman, played in 18 games as
a pinch hitter and defensive replacement... Scored two runs as a
pinch runner and drove in one run.
High School: Earned a pair of letters at
Mullen... Was co-captain his senior season and helped the Mustangs
into the district playoffs while playing shortstop... Played wide
receiver for the football team... National Honor Society member,
honor roll selection and Spanish Honor Roll selection.
