2006 (at Trinidad State JC): Hit .270 as a sophomore in a wood bat conference, playing six different positions during his two seasons.

2005 (at Trinidad State JC): Hit .290, leading the team in triples.

High School: 2004 graduate of Pueblo County... Four-year letterwinner... Was in the top 10 in hitting in the state his junior and senior seasons and hit over .400 in three of his four years with the Hornets... Team won South Central League title in 2001 and advanced to the state playoffs... Member of the National Honor Society and honor roll.
