2008 Football Schedule

GREELEY, Colo. - The 2008 football schedule for the University of Northern Colorado doesn't have quite the harsh road stretch to start the season that 2007 did, but it still will not be easy.

The Bears open the season on Sept. 6 at BCS Purdue, winners of the Motor City Bowl. They also host Texas State and travel to UC Davis for the non-conference as well as a challenging Big Sky Conference slate.

Northern Colorado will host five games at Nottingham Field. Besides Texas State in the non-conference portion on Sept. 20, NC also hosts Northern Arizona (Sept. 27), Idaho State (Oct. 11), Montana (Oct. 25) and Eastern Washington (Nov. 8). The last two both advanced to the 2007 NCAA playoffs with the Eagles going to the quarterfinals.

The conference road games are at Weber State (Oct. 18), Montana State (Nov. 1), Sacramento State (Nov. 15) and Portland State (Nov. 22).

The Bears return seven starters on each side of the ball as well as two who shared time as the placekicker a year ago.
