2001: Played in 10 games as a backup to starting quarterback Jon Boyer ... threw for 65 yards on 4-of-11 passing on the season ... rescued the Bears in the 4th quarter of its season finale against New Haven (Nov. 10) ... Boyer went down with a hand injury and Passard delivered two scoring drives in the final stanza to provide the Bears with a 29-19 victory ... scored the go-ahead touchdown on a one-yard plunge.
2000: Was tabbed the opening day starter but suffered a torn ACL in the second game of the season vs. Western State (Sept. 9) ... did not start against Western State but relieved Boyer in the fourth quarter and tossed his first touchdown of the season to George Carroll on a 26-yard scoring play ... however, he injured his knee on the Bears' next series when he tried to make a tackle on a Western State interception return.
1999: Saw action in five games as a sophomore ... enjoyed his finest game when he completed 4-of-7 passes for 124 yards and a touchdown at Morningside (Sept. 18).
1998: Played in five games as a true freshman ... one of only two true freshman to see action ... joined the team as a walk-on out of Westminster ... completed four-of-10 passes for 33 yards in limited action ... scored on a 15-yard run in the Bears' 56-9 win over Augustana (Sept. 19).
High School: Earned nine varsity letters at Westminster High School, including three football letters ... holds school record for passing yards ... two-time All-Skyline League selection ... earned all-state honors in 1996 and 1997 ... also participated in track & field, where he was the 1998 state high jump champion ... high school football coach: Jim Hoops.
