Through the eyes of a senior: Jace Davis

Editor's note: Each practice during fall camp UNCBears.com will sit down with one of the seniors on the Northern Colorado football team and take a look at the program through their eyes. On Monday, after the first practice of 2013, senior wide receiver Jace Davis took time out to answer some questions.

UNC: What do you see as three main reasons fans should come to your games this year?

Davis:
My first one is because I think we're going to win a lot of games. The second reason is because we can't do it without the fans. Football is a whole-school thing, and we need their energy on the field. They give us what we need to pull out close games. The third reason is because we're going to put on a show out there, and it's going to be exciting to watch.

UNC: If you could follow only one teammate on Twitter, who would it be and why?

Davis:
I'd have to say [Clarence] Bumpas because, one, He's my best friend and, two, he doesn't hold anything back.

UNC: Is there one thing you want to say to the naysayers of UNC football?

Davis:
Let them keep talking. We're only worried about what's going on in here, not anything outside.

UNC: Who do you think is the up-and-comer at the wide receiver position?

Davis:
Marcel Peoples, for sure. He's going to have a big year.

UNC: What's the best stadium you've played at away from Nottingham?

Davis:
I'd have to say Utah (Rice Eccles Stadium). The game at Utah last year was amazing.

UNC: Of all your current coaches who would you most like to face 1-on-1 from back in their playing days?

Davis:
Coach Collins, easily.

UNC: Why did you choose UNC?

Davis:
Because they gave me a full-ride [scholarship] and showed me more love. It's also close to my family, and I know my dad likes to see me play.

UNC: If there was one world issue or social cause you could help increase awareness of or help end, what would it be?

Davis:
Drinking and driving.

UNC: You've achieved a lot so far in your life. Which accomplishment are you most proud of?

Davis:
Probably just how I've grown as a man. Growing up and seeing things differently than I did as a freshman.

UNC: If you could play any of the other sports at UNC which would it be?

Davis:
(Before the question was even finished) Basketball.

UNC: What song do you find stuck in your head these days?

Davis:
Oh, goodness ..."Work" by A$AP Rocky.

UNC: If you could interview any star, who would it be and what would you want to find out?

Davis:
LeBron James. He's my favorite athlete and I'd ask what he does in his free time.

UNC: What's the best place in the world you've visited?

Davis:
I have to go with Lake Havasu.

UNC: If you could be on any reality TV show, which would you choose and why?

Davis:
"Hard Knocks" (HBO) because that means I'm in the NFL.

UNC: Now we're going to ask you some fun questions about your teammates. Who is the best singer on the team?

Davis:
Me.

UNC: Who does the best Coach Collins imitation?

Davis:
Bumpas, because he looks like him.

UNC: Who's the comedian of the group?

Davis:
I'd say [RB Robert] Holland.

UNC: Who's the most likely to get on another teammate when they're not living up to their potential?

Davis:
 [QB] Seth Lobato.

UNC: Who watches the TV program that shocks you, and what is it?

Davis:
"Quick" (Quentin Hildreth) because he watches "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta," which is crazy.
