Gunn tabbed First Team All-America by The Sports Network

PHILADELPHIA -- Northern Colorado senior return-specialist Dominic Gunn was named to The Sports Network FCS All-America Team on Monday, one of 16 Big Sky Conference Football players named to the three All-America teams.
"This is an awesome deal for Dom," Head Coach Earnest Collins Jr., said. "I'm so glad that everyone saw and recognized the caliber of kid he is in returning the football. This is great for the school, great for the young man and hopefully he'll get a chance to continue his playing football on Sundays."
Gunn was honored as the First Team Punt Returner after returning 23 punts for 392 yards and two touchdowns during his senior campaign. During the year, he had three returns for more than 50 yards, including an 83-yard touchdown at Portland State to help spark a come-from-behind victory. His 392 punt return yards are the third-most in school history – and a Division I record at Northern Colorado.
Gunn also had 24 kickoff returns for 498 yards and one touchdown as well as 49 receptions for 673 yards and six touchdowns on the season. He broke the Northern Colorado Division I single-season record for all-purpose yards with 1,563 – a mark that ranks sixth all-time at NC.
He becomes the first All-America First-Team selection since Reed Doughty was a Consensus All-American in 2005.
The Big Sky Conference led all leagues with its 16 selections and Gunn was one of five Big Sky picks on the First Team.
