• Northern Colorado is looking for its first win of the 2011 season against a team it has lost 10-straight contests to in Montana. The Bears' last win against the Griz came in 1976.

• Senior safety Chuks Nweke's next tackle will be the 100th of his career. Nweke is second amongst active Northern Colorado players with 99 stops, trailing only Nick Hernon (119).

• Seven defensive players have recorded double figures in tackles a total of 11 times through the Bears' first four games of the year.

• Both senior wide receiver Patrick Walker (5) and junior wide receiver Dominic Gunn (185) are closing in on 2000 career all-purpose yards.

• Northern Colorado is the only team in the Big Sky Conference that has not missed a field goal this season (4-for-4).

• Northern Colorado's defense is tied for the Big Sky Conference lead in interceptions (five) and sacks (13).

• The Bears are 9-for-10 in red-zone offense. They have six touchdowns (one rushing, five passing) and are 3-for-3 in field goals.

• Four Northern Colorado players rank in the top 10 in individual tackles in the Big Sky Conference, and six are ranked in the top 20.

• Sophomore linebacker Clarence Bumpas' 19 tackles last week against Weber State are the most in the Big Sky this season and are tied for the second-most in the FCS (Ichiro Vance, Eastern Kentucky). His 45 tackles this season is tied for 14th amongst FCS players.
