2010 Big Sky Special Teams Player of the Week: Nov. 8, 2010


2011:

2010: Ended the season ranked 14th among active career FCS punters with his 40.2 average and ninth in punts per game... Named Big Sky Special Teams Player of the Week on Nov. 8 after punting six times for an average of 48.3 yards per punt, with three of his punts going for 50 or more yards... Also made two total tackles on special teams... Averaged 40.0 yards or better in six of the 11 games and he pinned the opposition inside the 20-yard line 15 times... He enters his senior season fifth in Northern Colorado history with a 40.2 per punt career average.

2009: For the second straight season was the team’s starting punter, averaging 39.7 yards per punt... Had 17 punts pinned inside the 20-yard line and had eight for touchbacks... His career punting average of 40.1 currently ties him for fifth on the Northern Colorado career charts with Jeff Ewing (1986-89) and is the best average since the school transitioned to Division I.

2008: Was the starting punter, averaging just over 40 yards per punt... Tallied a career-best 80-yard punt at Weber State, tying for the longest punt in school history (Don Geist vs South Dakota, 1982)... Also handled kickoffs for a portion of the year, averaging 60.9 yards per kickoff.

2007: Redshirted.

High School: Played both football and baseball at Blue Valley... Helped lead the football team to the 5A state football title and an undefeated season at 13-0... Played both wide receiver and defensive back, along with his kicking duties for the Tigers... At the Inaugural Greater Kansas City Kicking/Punting Challenge he won the longest punt average for five kicks at 48 yards and was second in field goal kicking, booting a 50-yarder.

Personal: Son of Mark and Karen Kaman... Is majoring in sport & exercise science with an emphasis in physical education.
