Honors and Awards

2011:

2010: Was seventh on the team with 44 total tackles... Played in all 11 games, starting in seven opposite Big Sky All-Conference pick Korey Askew... Also third on the squad with four pass break-ups... Posted a career-best seven tackles at Michigan State and had six stops in three other games... Two of his four pass break-ups came in the victory over Idaho State... Recovered a fumble in the season opener against Adams State.

2009: Played in seven games, mostly on special teams, recording six tackles... Four of his six tackles came in the win at Idaho State.

2008: Redshirted.

High School: Lettered in football, basketball and track & field... First-team all-conference senior year as both a quarterback and safety... 2006 state triple jump champion... Holds the school record in the triple jump at 46-11.75 and has a personal best long jump of 22-4.

Personal: Oldest of three children of Willie and Patricia Gibbons with two younger sisters, Olivia and Natalie... Born Dec. 30 in Mintze, Germany... Pursuing a degree in philosophy.
