GREELEY, Colo. -- Northern Colorado head football coach Scott Downing recently announced the addition of Greg Peterson and Brad Bedell to his staff.

Both have ties to the state of Colorado and are excited about their opportunities with the Bears.

Peterson will serve as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Bears, while Bedell will coach the offensive line.

"We're excited about both Greg and Brad," said Downing. "Both bring a very good library of knowledge to their positions, are outstanding people and I think they will have an immediate connection with our players."

Peterson joins the Bears from Colorado State, where he served as the offensive coordinator the previous two seasons.

"Greg has an outstanding resume," said Downing. "He has a number of years in both the Big 12 and Pac-10 Conference as well as his most recent sting in the Mountain West at Colorado State."

Bedell comes to Northern Colorado from Colorado, where he was the technical intern for offense the last three years.

"Brad bring seven years of playing in the NFL and three years in the Big 12 at CU to the table," Downing stated. "That experience is outstanding and he will help bring the whole college atmosphere to the team. I'm looking forward to what they can contribute to our program."
