Doug Bell returns to the Northern Colorado coaching staff after a 30-year hiatus. Bell served as an assistant coach during 1977 and 1978, working with the men's distance team. In 1986, Bell took over the cross country team at Greeley Central, where he coached until the conclusion of the 1992 team. While at Central, he coached two state champions. In 1993, he began "Bells Racing Team" through the local store he has owned for over 20 years. The group consists of over 80 local runners. Bell competed in track & field at Mankato State and is a three-time Denver Marathon Champion (1980, 1982, 1986).
