A graduate of Longmont High School ... majoring in kinesiology ... personal bests: decathlon - 7,119; long jump - 23'11"; pole vault - 15'0"; high jump - 6'4.75"; 100m - 10.90; javelin - 150' ... spent one season at the University of Nebraska ... state champion in pentathlon in 1999 ... finished 5th at National Junior Olympics in decathlon ... placed second in decathlon at 2001 NCC Championships ... earned All-America honors at the 2003 NCAA Championships in the decathlon with a sixth-place finish (6,870 points) ... won the 2003 Mike Bennett Decathlon with the third-highest point total in UNC history (7,119) ... won the long jump title at the 2003 NCC Championships.
