2005: Appeared in 14 games, starting twice, in his final year with the program ... after rough first season, found his form in his second year, lowering his ERA by nine full points ... one of only two Bears to record a save during the season, as he pitched the final three innings against Utah Valley State (Apr. 9), not allowing a hit or walk; threw 27 total pitches in that game, 22 for strikes ... earned first victory in nearly a calendar year on April 2 at Southern Utah, where he pitched 5.1 innings in relief, allowing only one hits and one run while striking out four and walking zero; in that game hit the first batter he faced then retired the next 15 in a row ... at one point of the season had retired 27 of 28 batters he faced ... in career finale against Utah Valley State (May 21), pitching an inning and struck out two of the three batters he faced ... tossed three innings of relief at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Mar. 25), allowing only two hits ... pitched five innings of relief at Kansas State (May 14), allowing three runs and striking out three ... in first appearance of the season, allowed only three hits and struck out four (walking zero) in five innings against Creighton.


2004: Appeared in eight games, starting six for the Bears ... picked up lone victory of the season against Air Force on March 13; pitched four innings, allowing six hits and four runs, two earned, while striking out three batters in 10-4 UNC win ... pitched one inning of relief against Utah Valley State (May 1), allowing two hits and one run in UNC's 22-9 win and two innings out of the bullpen, allowing two hits and one earned run in a 9-6 victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Feb. 22) ... also had starts against Fort Hays State (Feb. 14), Mesa State (Mar. 6), Southern Utah (Mar. 19), Air Force (Mar. 30) and Hawaii-Hilo (May 17).

Prior to UNC: Played two seasons at Trinidad State College for coach Scott Douglas ... team finished 2003 season with 26-30 record and 14-22 conference mark ... in 2003, appeared in 16 games, compiling a 6-4 record and 4.00 ERA ... pitched 49 total innings, including two complete games, while striking out 47 batters ... spent 2000 season at Montana State University where he was a quarterback for the Bobcats.
