In just two shorts years with the program, proved to be one of the top players in program history ... played in 108 of a possible 111 games during his career, making 107 starts ... excellent defensive first baseman, committed only eighth errors and made nearly 900 putouts in his two years (.992 fielding percentage) ... had 47 multi-hit and 33 multi-RBI games during his two-year career ... started 86 of his final 87 games of his career, including a streak of 66 in a row over the end of his junior and beginning of his senior season ... ended career by hitting safely in 33 of his last 38 and 70 of his last 81 games overall; had a hit in 86 of his 108 total games (79.6%).

2005: Division I All-Independent first-team selection ... played and started 55 of the Bears 56 games during the season ... had 77 hits, the third highest total in school history, matching his effort from his junior season ... 218 at-bats were the second highest single-season total in school history as he became only the third player ever to record 200-plus at-bats in a season ... led team in hits, runs, RBI, doubles, total bases and ranked fourth in home runs and slugging percentage ... named co-MVP (along with Brennan Garr) at the D-I Independent Invitational after hitting .538 (7-for-13) with three RBI; seven hits were the second most among all players at the event ... hit .465 (20-for-43) with 11 runs and 12 RBI in 11 games against D-I Independents ... committed only two errors in the field in 538 chances (a .996 fielding percentage) ... was 3-for-5 with a double and run scored in 8-5 upset victory over Wichita State (May 10); added a RBI double in the second game against the Shockers ... had game-winning RBI with a double in 12-10 10-inning victory over Air Force (Apr. 19); finished doubleheader with Falcons by going a combined 4-for-9 with three RBI including a 3-for-5 performance in the nightcap ... had seven RBI in doubleheader sweep of Air Force early in the season (Mar. 8) and finished the season hitting .435 (10-for-23) with 11 RBI against his hometown Falcons ... hit .500 (7-for-14) with seven runs scored, a home run and three RBI in home series against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi ... smashed final home run of the season at Oklahoma (May 17), a blast that he drove off the scoreboard in left field; was 3-for-4 with two runs scored in that game (the first of a day/night doubleheader) against the Sooners ... also homered against Creighton (Feb. 18), Washington State (Mar. 11) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Apr. 23) ... had first triple of collegiate career against Kansas State (May 13) ... had season-high four hits against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Apr. 24), a day after scoring a season-high four runs against the Islanders ... had three hits in a game seven times during the year ... led team with 23 multi-hit and 12 multi-RBI games ... ended the season with a 13-game hitting streak, the highest on the team during the season, and hit in 19 of his final 21 games ... hit .377 (40-for-106) with runners on-base, .414 (24-for-58) with runners in scoring position, .403 (31-for-77) with two-out and .750 (15-for-20) with a runner on third and less than two outs ... hit a team-high .356 (26-for-73) with 11 RBI in 18 games against teams that made the 2005 NCAA Tournament ... hit .412 (35-for-85) with 26 RBI in the Bears 22 wins during the season ... hit .442 (34-for-77) with 18 RBI in 20 games at Jackson Field. 2004: Suffered a shoulder injury prior to the season which forced him to seek a medical redshirt ... served as part-time scoreboard operator for home games, making him arguably the most talented scoreboard operator in the country.

2003: Rawlings/ACBA second-team All-American ... ACBA All-Central Region first-team ... All-NCC first-team selection ... set 21-year-old school record for RBI (73) in a season and ranked fifth in a season in total bases and fourth in at-bats ... led UNC team in RBI and was second in hits and home runs and third in doubles, total bases and slugging ... was second in the NCC in hits and third in RBI and finished third all-time in NCC history for RBI in a season (32) while ranking second in a season in hits (42) ... named NCC Player of the Week on March 17 after hitting .599 and slugging 1.299 for the week ... led team with 21 multiple RBI games, including five games of five-plus RBI ... was second on the team with 24 multiple hit games and ended season with 18-game hitting streak, which is only two away from school record for longest hitting streak; had hits in 25 of his last 26 games of the season ... hit extra innings, two-out, three-run, walk-off home run to give UNC 10-8 victory over rival Mesa State (Feb. 22); drove in six RBI in that game ... was 4-6 with five RBI and two home runs in 16-12 victory over Regis (Mar. 15) ... went 2-4 with six RBI in loss at Division I New Mexico (Mar. 17) ... was 5-5 with four runs, two home runs and five RBI in 31-9 victory over Metro State (Apr. 8) ... saw one inning of pitching action on the season on April 2 at Metro State ... hit .462 with runners in scoring position and .500 with the bases loaded.

High School: Attended Air Academy High in Colorado Springs ... 11-time letter winner in baseball (3), golf (4) and hockey (4) ... with hockey team, led state in scoring from 1996-99 and was state MVP in 1999 ... hockey team won state championship in 2000.

Personal: Born August 8, 1981, in Fairfield, Calif. ... son of Chuck and Lisa Delich ... majoring in history ... uncle Dave Delich played professional hockey for the Minnesota North Stars and father Chuck coached hockey at the Air Force Academy from 1986-97 ... grandfather is a UNC alum.
