2004 Division I All-Independent First-Team Finished his career as one of the top all-around offensive players in school history ... during his senior season set school records for career hits (226), career at-bats (672), career triples (12) and consecutive games started (129) and finished in the top-10 in school history in career doubles (37 - 5th) and career total bases (314 - 5th). A four-year starter at second base, Baker started from the middle of his freshman season until the first half of his senior season before injuries kept him out of the lineup for several games during his final season ... played in 195 games in his four-year career, starting 190 of them - both marks at all-time bests at Northern Colorado ... 168 of his record 226 career hits were singles.


2005: Battled injuries all season long, but still played in 47 of 56 games, starting 43 of those contests ... became school career leader in hits with 216th hit on a single to right field in the seventh inning at Kansas State (May 13); passed former Bear and fellow Pueblo native Jordan Berge, who had 215 hits from 1980-83 ... finished career with 226 total hits, one of only two players in school history to have 200 or more hits in a career ... also set the school's career at-bats record with 614th at-bat in the fourth inning against Utah Valley State (Apr. 9), passing Jeff Simpson's 613 at-bats (1974-77); finished career with 672 at-bats, one of only two players in school history with 600 or more career at-bats ... started school-record 129th consecutive game on Feb. 25 at Kansas but was not in the lineup the next day against the Jayhawks, marking the first time since April 16 of his freshman season that he was not in the starting lineup ... recorded 12th career triple on May 21 in seventh inning against Utah Valley State, tying the school career mark he shares with Alvin White (1976-77) and Mark Rodriguez (1989-91); would have broken the career record had he not been thrown out at third base attempting to stretch a double into a triple an inning earlier ... in that game against the Wolverines he also homered, marking his first home run since May 1, 2004; that blast also came against Utah Valley State ... named to the All-Tournament team at the D-I Independent Invitational after finishing the event with a .417 (5-for-12) average, a double, triple, home run, two RBI and a .917 slugging percentage ... broke his right index finger on April 9 against Utah Valley State and missed the next five games and appeared in the next two after that only as a defensive replacement; returned to the lineup on April 26 against BYU and was 2-for-4 at the plate ... that started an offensive surge for Baker, who hit .386 (22-for-57) over the final 15 games of the season, raising his batting average from .217 to as high as .294, as he had nine multi-hit games over that period ... had 14 multi-hit and three total multi-RBI games during the season and a long hitting streak of eight ... had a season-high three hits against each Creighton (Feb. 18), Kansas (Feb. 26), Oklahoma (May 17) and Utah Valley State (May 21) ... named a D-I Independent All-Academic selection for the second season in a row ... named to the All-Bear team, one of five male UNC student-athletes named to that squad.

2003: One of two players to start and play all 55 games ... led team in triples and was second in doubles ... finished year ranking second all-time in a season in at-bats (201) and 10th in RBI (55) in school history ... was third on the team in both multiple-hit (22) and multiple-RBI (15) games ... was 3-7 with three runs and six RBI including a grand slam in UNC's 31-9 victory over Metro State (Apr. 8) ... was 7-13 with six RBI in road series versus nationally ranked Southern Colorado in front of hometown crowd ... came through with many clutch hits during the season, including a two-out, two run single to force extra innings against Minnesota State (Apr. 27) in a game UNC would eventually win ... named to Academic All-NCC team and to Verizon Academic All-District VII team in addition to being a UNC Scholar-Athlete.
