2013-14
Indoor: Won the mile at the Air Force Collegiate Open Feb. 15 with a time of 5:16.30, improving the fourth-best time in school history, which she already owned...Qualified for Big Sky Championships in 800 meters, and was also a member of 4,000-meter distance medley and 4x400 relay teams that finished second and ninth, respectively.
Outdoor: Placed first at the Big Sky Championships in the 800 meters (2:12.16)...Her time of 4:39.77 in the 1,500 meters April 19 at the Beach Invitational was the sixth-fastest in school history to that point.
2012-2013
Outdoor: Set the school's second-fastest time in the outdoor 800m (2:10.67) May 10 at the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Championships in Portland, Ore...
Indoor: Set the school record for the indoor 800m (2:13.04) Feb. 22 at the Big Sky Conference Indoor Championships in Bozeman, Mont...Also ran the mile in 5:30.32 (fourth-fastest at UNC) Jan. 26 at the Air Force Invitational.
2011-2012:
Indoor: Qualified for the Big Sky Conference Track & Field Championships and finished in ninth place in the 800 meters as a true freshman... Also ran on the distance medley relay team that finished in seventh place... Set personal bests at the Big Sky Championships in the 800 with a time of 2:17.28 and at the Air Force Team Challenge in the mile with a time of 5:27.73... Her time in the 800 meters ranks third-fastest in school history and is the fastest since Libbie Simpson set the record of 2:14.58 in 1993.
Cross Country
Ran at the NCAA Mountain Regional Cross Country Championships and finished in 120th place and finished 36th at the Big Sky Conference Championship... Set personal bests at the Wyoming Invitational for a 4K with a time of 15:44.60, at the Fort Hays Invitational over 5000 meters with a time of 19:06.50, and at the Colorado College Invitational in the 6K with a time of 23:52.00.
High School: Graduated from Fleming High School in 2011... Was coached by Lisa Chintalla and Cheryl Rael... Was a standout student-athlete earning a total of 14 varsity letters (four in Track & Field, three in Cross Country, four in Basketball and three in Volleyball... Earned two All-State Track & Field Honors... Qualified for the Colorado State High School Track & Field Championships all four years... Was a five-time Colorado State High School Track & Field Champion winning the 800 meters her Junior year and the 100, 200, 400 and 800 as a senior... Finished in the top eight at the Colorado State High School Track & Field Championships a total of 10 times throughout her high school Track & Field Career... Was named Colorado State High School Track & Field 1A Athlete of the year her Senior year... Named her high school Cross Country team Most Valuable Runner three times... Captain of her high school Track & Field, Cross Country, Basketball and Volleyball teams her Senior year... In 2009, was selected to the All Colorado Track & Field team.
Personal: Born on March 26 in Sterling, Colorado to Doug and Lori Atkin... Has one older sister Bethany... Ashley's mom is a former Track & Field student-athlete and graduated from Northern Colorado.
