Savannah Smith earned her second College Sports Madness Big Sky Player of the week honor Monday
GREELEY, Colo. – For the second time this season redshirt sophomore guard, Savannah Smith has earned the College Sports Madness Big Sky Player of the Week honor.
Smith paced the Bears in a pair of wins averaging 21.0 points on 65.2 percent shooting, including going 11-of-16 (68.8 %) from downtown. She added in 2.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game as well.
Against Northern Arizona, she shot 7-of-10 from the field, hitting five 3-pointers on her way to 20 points. Smith followed it up with 22 points, four assists, two rebounds and two steals against Southern Utah.
Smith tied her career-high for made threes with six against SUU. She is currently on a four-game streak of scoring at least 20 points.
UNC is currently on an 11-game win streak, and holds a perfect 10-0 record in the Big Sky. They host the second place North Dakota Fighting Hawks on Saturday at noon inside Bank of Colorado Arena.
