Five Bears recognized with All-Conference Honors for @UNCBearsSoccer

Ogden, Utah – The Big Sky Conference announced Tuesday selections for the 2016 Women's Soccer All-Conference Teams. Five Northern Colorado Athletes were selected among the conference's various honors.
Senior defender, Madeline Chase picked a first team All-Big Sky selection along with sophomore midfielder, Mariel Gutierrez (10 goals, 2 assists). Chase earned the award for the first time in her career, while it was Gutierrez's second selection in as many seasons.
Junior forward, Brooke Braden (4 goals, 3 assists), earned herself a Second Team All-Big Sky selection. The award signals Braden's first career All-Conference honor.
Goalkeeper Madeline Burdick and midfielder Kassy Castillo both hopped on the honorable mention list.
This year's list of Big Sky Award winners were the most for Northern Colorado since 2011 when the Bears had six All-Conference honorees.
