Park Named WAC Hitter of the Week

Jensen Park's stellar weekend against New Mexico State earned him WAC Hitter of the Week
DENVER—For the second time this year Northern Colorado baseball team received the WAC Hitter of the Week honor. Jensen Park (Kaneohe, Hawaii) received picked up the award for his big bat in the Bears weekend sweep of New Mexico State.
Park had a .588 batting average (10-17) to go with his eight runs scored, six RBI, two doubles, and a home run. Park paced the team as they hit .384 in Las Cruces.
This is Park's first WAC hitter of the week honor in his career.
Teammate Brandon Vaughn (Louisville, Colo.) received the honor early this year.
The conference also announced its pitcher of the week that went to Bakersfield's James Barragan. Barragan struck out 13 in his team's victory over North Dakota last week.
UNC will return to Jackson Field on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. when they face Air Force. The Falcons defeated the Bears 9-2 last week in Colorado Springs.
