Strange and Lee Earn All-Big Sky First Team

D'shara Strange was named Co-MVP and Stephanie also made it onto All-Big Sky team
OGDEN, Utah—The All-Big Sky team for women's basketball was announced Tuesday morning, and a pair of Bears made it onto the team. Senior D'shara Strange (Fountain, Colo.) earned Co-Most Valuable Player, with Montana's Kellie Rubel. Fellow classmate Stephanie Lee (Casper, Wyo.) also made it on the first team All-Big Sky.
This is the second time Strange has been named conference MVP (2013) and third time on first team All-Big Sky (2012, 2013). She is currently averaging 16.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 3.0 assists per game.
For Lee, it is her first time making first team All-Big Sky. Last year she earned second team honors. Lee is currently the Bears leading scorer averaging 17.2 points a game along with leading the team blocking 2.1 shots a game.
Strange and Lee are the fifth and sixth players to earn first team honors since Northern Colorado joined the Big Sky in 2006.
UNC travels to Missoula, Mont. for the Big Sky Conference Tournament this week on the campus of the University of Montana. The Bears, currently on an eight game winning streak, are the three seed for the tournament and face six seed North Dakota at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
