D'shara Strange earns Big Sky Player of the Week honors for the week of November 14-18
OGDEN, Utah-- The Big Sky Conference announced D'shara Strange (Fountain, Colo.) as their Player of the Week.
Strange helped the Bears start the season 2-0 defeating SMU and North Texas. She combined for 30 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, and 6 steals over the two games.
Strange provided continuous ball pressure for the Bears in both games. Against SMU she scored UNC's first nine points giving the Bears a lead that they would never relinquish.
Despite foul trouble at North Texas, Strange still played a key role in the win including a big basket with 2:16 left on a back cut to extend Northern Colorado's lead to nine.
This is Strange's fifth time time being named Big Sky Player of the Week in her career.
The women's basketball team hosts their regular season home opener Monday, November 24 at 5:00 p.m.
