Cunningham Earns Big Sky Player of the Week

For the second time this season Kendra Cunningham was named Big Sky Conference Player of the Week

OGDEN, Utah -- For the second time this season and in her career, junior outside hitter Kendra Cunningham (Eaton, Colo.) was named Big Sky Conference Player of the Week.Â
Cunningham helped lead the Bears to a 2-0 week locking up the third seed for the upcoming conference tournament.
In the two matches against Eastern Washington and Idaho Cunningham combined for 31 kills, 24 digs, eight blocks, three assists and one service ace. The 31 kills pushed her over 300 kills for the season.
In the match against Eastern Washington she recorded her 14th double-double of the year with 16 kills and 15 digs.
She led UNC with 19.5 points in the match. In the battle for the for the three seed at Idaho Cunningham led UNC again with 15 kills. She finished one dig shy of another double-double.Â
Cunningham and the rest of the Bears lead the Big Sky in kills, averaging 13.96 per set.
The Bears will start their play in the conference tournament Thursday in Pocotello, Idaho against Portland State at 1:00 p.m.
