Bears Prepare For Busy Week

 

As Northern Colorado athletics gets ready for a busy weekend of sports, both at home and on the road, the department would like to make sure with some of the changes that have happened that all Bears fans are in the know in regards to the events.

Men's basketball kicked off the week on Tuesday with a thrilling 91-73 victory over Sacramento State. They are in action again on Thursday evening against Eastern Washington at 7:00 p.m. The women's team is on the road on Thursday at Eastern Washington.

On Friday, swimming and diving starts the afternoon with a dual against New Mexico State starting at 4:00 p.m., while wrestling finally returns home to take on #21 Northern Iowa in a dual beginning at 7:00 p.m. Track & field also begins its season at the Don Barrett Open hosted by the Air Force Academy.

Saturday, wrestling will again be on the mat in Butler-Hancock Sports Pavilion as they host Stanford in a dual beginning at 7:00 p.m. This is one of the changes from the original schedule. Both swimming and women's basketball are on the road, with the ladies in the pool competing against Denver and Air Force at Air Force, while the hardwood team takes on Portland State.

The week closes on Sunday in the same way it began, with a men's basketball game at Butler-Hancock. The Bears host Portland State in a televised contest on Altitude Sports & Entertainment beginning at 2:05 p.m.

Tickets to all home games can be purchased through the Northern Colorado Ticket Office by calling 970.351.4TIX or visiting online at uncbears.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the ticket window one hour prior to the event on the west side of Butler-Hancock.
