Athletic Teams Compete in 1st Annual Truck Push April 2, 2007 GREELEY, Colo. - Several Northern Colorado teams competed in the 1st Annual Northern Colorado World Championship Truck Push, held in the Butler-Hancock parking lot on March 28. UNC's volleyball, women's soccer, swimming and diving, and football teams competed in the event, where groups weighing no more than 1250 pounds combined were required to push and navigate for 300 yards a truck holding six coaches in the bed. The "Football 1" team of Clint Wright, Ryan Chesla, Jake Gable and Eric Christensen won the event with a time of 1:16. The volleyball team of Lauren Carter, Lenay Goble, Abby Mayne, Allison Raguse, Kristen Schevikhoven, Kenzie Shreeve, Taylor Smith, Dulcie Stone and Breanna VanDerMost was crowned the women's champion with a time of 1:25. |
